On July 15, 2023, the STAMP developer - Genesee Economic Development Corporation (GCEDC) - began construction on a wastewater pipeline that will carry up to 6 million gallons daily of wastewater effluent from the STAMP site to the outfall location: Oak Orchard Creek in the Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge.
On Thursday, July 27, 2023 at 10am, STAMP Sewer Works (a front for GCEDC) held a condemnation hearing at the Town of Alabama Fire Department in relation to the wastewater pipeline currently under construction and the three individual landowners who have refused to sign easements for pipeline construction across their property. Allies of TSN sent out an action alert, asking individuals and organizations to submit oral written comments in opposition to the pipeline construction and the proposed eminent domain proceedings.
More than 60 people turned out for the hearing, held at the Town of Alabama, NY Fire Department. Except for the developer and their paid representatives, every single one of the more than 20 oral commenters spoke in strong opposition to the construction of the STAMP wastewater pipeline and the proposed eminent domain proceedings. In addition, allies submitted more than 50 written comments into the public record.

UPDATE: At their August 3, 2023 meeting, the STAMP Sewer Works, Inc. Board decided to table the proposed eminent domain resolution. According to the Video News Service, the "overwhelming response of comments at the public hearing" was the rationale given.
