Allies of the Tonawanda Seneca Nation are joining with the Nation to defend their unceded homelands
from a massive industrial development project sited on the boundary
of their reservation territory, located in western New York.

The project is already underway despite lacking infrastructure, tenants, or necessary permits.

Protect the Big Woods campaign

One of Western New York’s greatest treasures is a 20,000-acre wetland-grassland complex. The area is home to the Tonawanda Seneca Nation, part of the Haudenosaunee. ​Now, this place and the Nation itself face an existential threat.
